MCT Oil

MCT Oil

The abbreviation MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides, which is the English name for medium-chain fatty acids. The length of the fatty acid can be derived from the chemical structure of the fatty acid. A medium chain fatty acid has a length of six to ten carbon atoms. Because of this shorter length, MCTs are more easily digested by the body.
MCT oil is very popular with top athletes and is used in the Ketogenic diet.

Types of MCT Oil

MCT oil is an oil product based on coconut fatty acids and is 100% neutral in smell, taste and colour. The product is available in two different ratios of Capryl (C8) and Capric (C10) fatty acids.
